Installation of AusweisApp2 on Mac OS X¶

The installation of the AusweisApp2 is carried out by the Mac App Store.

Open Mac App Store¶

You can open the Mac App Store from the Finder by navigating to the “Applications” folder and double-clicking the “App Store.app” app.

Alternatively you can open the Mac App Store from the Launchpad. Open the Launchpad from the Dock or from the “Applications” folder and enter “App Store” into the search bar. Open the app store by clicking on the corresponding search result.

Find AusweisApp2¶

Enter “AusweisApp2” into the Mac App Store search bar. If the search results show multiple matching entries select the entry shown in the screenshot. Please check the correctness of the name, manufacturer and logo.

Install AusweisApp2¶

Start the installation by clicking the “Get” button in the upper right corner followed by clicking on the “Install” button. You may be requested to log into your Apple account.

After the installation successfully finished you can start the AusweisApp2. You can start the app directly from the Mac App Store by clicking the “Open” button, by opening the AusweisApp2 from the “Applications” folder, or by starting it from the Launchpad.

If you have already installed the AusweisApp2 with your Apple account in the past, you will see a download icon that you can use to reinstall the app.
