LIST OF SUITABLE AND UNSUITABLE SMARTPHONES & TABLETS

You can report the success or failure of your authentication using your smartphone or tablet via the AusweisApp2. The results of these reports are shown in the list below. In addition, we regularly add new test results and useful information to the list, such as the installation of the NFC interface.

An important note: Due to different operating systems/ firmware or changes made by the user, there may be deviations from this list.

To ensure the success of the readout process, please make sure that your ID card is correctly connected to the NFC interface.

Requirements for using the online identification function with mobile devices

Not every mobile device can be used for direct reading or as a card reader. The device must support the following NFC technology requirements:

  1. NFC function
  2. Extended Length Communication
  3. NFC chip: sufficient field strength
  4. Android version 5.0 and up / iOS version 13.2 and up

Using the feature "Check device and ID card" you can verify whether your device supports all requirements. You can find this feature on the start page of app version 1.22.0 and higher.

For more information on NFC, Extended Length, and Field Strength, see the FAQs.
