Application log¶
To show the diagnosis you have to enter the tab „Diagnosis and application log“ in the help section and click on the button „Show logs“.
With every execution of the AusweisApp2 an application log is created. It logs the status changes of the AusweisApp2 core, especially the communication to servers, card readers and identity cards.
Note
The log does not contain any personal data from your ID card or other secret data (e.g. your PIN).
Using the tabs you can view, export and delete older logfiles.
Save a log file¶
If you want to export a log you have to select the log and click on the „Save log file“ button. You can choose a location and name in the opening saving dialog. With a click on the „Save“ button the log file will be created at the specified location.
Delete logfiles¶
You can only delete older logs.
You can delete individual logs by selecting the tab of the specific log file and clicking on the „Delete logfile“ button in the lower left-hand corner. A new dialog appears asking you to confirm the deletion. If you click on the „Ok“ button the log will get deleted.
You can delete all old log at once by clicking the „Delete old logfiles“ button. A new dialog appears asking you to confirm the deletion. If you click on the „Ok“ button the all old logs will get deleted.
