Install Card Readers¶
The tab USB card reader supports you in the configuration of a separately available card reader.
As soon as at least one card reader is connected, this device will be listed. The text under the card reader name indicates whether the driver for this particular card reader is installed correctly. Additionally the availability of the card reader is signalled by a green hook on right side.

“Driver not installed” will be shown under the name of the card reader if no driver is installed for the connected card reader. A URL to the website of the manufacturer will be displayed where you can get the suitable driver.

Hint
It is possible that your card reader is ready-to-use although it is not listed here.
Install driver for card reader¶
Click on the link below the card reader’s name. This opens the manufacturer’s website in your browser.
Download and install the driver for your card reader.
Upon successful installation, the state for the connected card reader changes to “Driver installed”.
Hint
After connecting the card reader, your PC may indicate that the device is ready to be used. However, most card readers only work properly when the appropriate driver software has been downloaded and installed directly from the manufacturer.
Attention
We recommend to restart your computer once the driver software has been installed to make sure that the card reader functions correctly.
