Source: Governikus

Important Information

This page provides download links for all AusweisApp versions. You can download and install the latest app version for Windows, macOS, and Android via the provided link. However, we recommend installing it through your operating system's app store or directly from this page. Older AusweisApp versions are also available for download. We also offer older versions for iOS. However, these cannot be installed via sideloading and are only available on select developer devices. We do not offer support for older versions and provide no guarantee for their use.

How the download works

We make all versions of the AusweisApp available via the public software development platform GitHub. You can access the AusweisApp release list via the following link: https://github.com/Governikus/AusweisApp/releases

Use the left-hand navigation to access the desired release. Clicking on a release will provide you with the following information for users (German: Anwender) and developers (German: Entwickler), as well as the corresponding assets for download.

To view and download the assets, you need to expand the submenu item.

Finding the correct file

When you expand the asset list, you will typically find around 20 different files. In addition to text and PDF files, these include the installation files for the various operating systems and versions. You can find out which installation file is suitable for you in the following table:
